Basic steps of access control software:

Start access control software:

Double-click the icon on the desktop to start the access control software.
After startup, the user name is already entered by default. The default user admin, the password is empty, that is, no password is entered.

Step 1 Add access control devices to open the access control device interface



Select the corresponding communication method (selection is to use the mouse to select the click target), right click and click "Add Controller", as shown below:



Enter the controller name, serial number (on the label on the controller circuit board, 6 digits), model:



After clicking OK, the controller appears under the corresponding communication port.



If the controller and device are connected successfully, the icon is green; no communication is yellow; the shielded controller is red.
Open the debug interface to see the status of the communication:



The debugging interface can observe the communication status, controller chip version, operation execution status and other information, and mainly provide more information for the construction use process.




Step 2 Increase the opening hours

Opening time: It is the time range of the current door and the door opening time range: 8:00:00--18:30:00, 00:00:01--23:59:59.
Door opening methods such as: single card identification password card plus password double card

After adding the controller, you need to increase the opening time on each door. Select each door and right-click in the open time position:



Increase additional opening hours



By default, each door has already been added a default opening time and does not need to be added.


Step 3 Define Access Rights

Access permission: It is a combination of opening hours. You can set how someone enters or exits a door (or some) in a certain (or some) time range. For example, a financial manager can enter and exit the company's door 24 hours a day by using a credit card. 8 hours to work in and out of the financial office, this is a permission.

Select Define access rights on the toolbar.



Right click on the right margin:



Enter the name of the permission and select the door opening time.







Step 4 Increase staff

Switch to the people management interface



Right-click on the blank area of ​​the personnel management interface and select the new person:



Enter the job number and the person's name, where the job number must be entered.



Increase staffing:




Step 5 Issue Card, Authorize

Turn on real-time events



Swipe the card on the controller's card reader. If the computer and the controller communicate normally (the access controller's icon is green, the debug interface shows the connection), you will be able to see the credit card records on the personnel management interface, as shown in the figure.

Open the staff management interface, select the person who needs to issue the card, right-click, select Card:




Select the door used to issue the card and swipe the card reader on the door. The software automatically fills in the card number in the card number field. You can manually fill in the card number displayed in the real-time event interface here:



Select the person the same as the issuing card, right-click - select setting access rights:



After clicking OK, as shown in the figure:




Step 6 Transfer data

Various parameters, such as setting the door and opening time, need to be transmitted to the controller; data such as access rights, staffing, card issuance, and authorization must also be transmitted to the controller to enable the access control.

Select the access control device interface, click the controller icon, select the right button, and update the controller parameters:



Click the controller icon, select the right button, download the card data:



Select the range to download, the default is all:



Click OK to start the transfer of the card data. You can see the result of the transfer on the debug screen. After the transfer is completed, the settings will start to function:
